Bishop David Motiuk, former rector of Holy Spirit Seminary, and now Bishop for the Eparchy of Edmonton holds a doctorate in Eastern Canon Law from the Pontifical Oriental Institute in Rome. He has taught THO 2186 Canonical Tradition of the Eastern Churches (Winter 1997 and Fall 1999), THO 2309 Selected Topics in the Canonical Tradition of the Eastern Churches: Canon Law for Eastern Catholic Parish Administration (Winter 1997), as well as THO 6176 Sources of Byzantine Canon Law (Winter 2000). He is also a frequent lecturer with Saint Paul University’s Faculty of Canon Law.
